Color Block No. 1

Color Block No. 1

Color Block is an experimental venue orchestrating color and form into a single, agile setting for theater and performance.

The construction technique is a simple, monolithic system of SIPs, including scrap off-cuts.

Color Block is structured through a low resolution interplay of form and color. The project eschews the typical modality of “color coding” in architecture by liberating color from the “parts” implied by the pavilion’s geometries.
